Mission and Vision

The mission of Burlington-Alamance Sister Cities supports Sister Cities International's mission of promoting peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation, one individual and on community at a time. We achieve this at the local level by promoting the exchange of ideas and development of enrichment experiences in education, culture, the arts, and business that increase understanding and appreciation for diverse international cultures.

The vision of Burlington-Alamance Sister Cities is to be the recognized resource in Alamance County for promoting international awareness and understanding. We envision enriching the lives of county residents by promoting appreciation for different cultures and the global connections of all peoples.
